WavEC Temporarily Closes Office Due to COVID-19

WavEC Offshore Renewables has temporarily closed its office given the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Following the official recommendations and the World Health Organization, WavEC has implemented a plan of measures and best practices, which includes remote work for employees.

We believe that the measures taken will ensure the continuity and quality of the services we provide. We are still available by phone, email or video conference,” WavEC said.

To remind, WavEC, in collaboration with MaRINET2, is organizing a course entitled “Installation and O&M of Offshore Renewable Energy systems” taking place in Viana do Castelo (Portugal), on May 13 and 14.

Furthermore, the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), WavEC Offshore Renewables and the Marine Engineering Institute – Italian National Research Council (CNR-INM), are setting up a course entitled “Methods and environmental data collection in Marine Renewable Energy Sites”, scheduled to take place at EMEC (Stromness, Orkney, Scotland), on June 23 and 24.

EMEC has also canceled all planned visits and the measures have been put in place to limit exposure of EMEC team, community and stakeholders to the virus.
