The Engineer is responsible for producing cost-effective designs that satisfy specifications of C·Power’s WEC.

Balancing lowest cost of energy while ensuring system survivability is a critical aspect of the position.

The professional will prepare design documentation, design justifications, data, drawings, system descriptions, and contribute to periodic reporting requirements as assigned.

The position is located at Columbia Power’s engineering office in Corvallis, OR. Remote operation/tele-commuting will be considered for well-qualified candidates.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has recently awarded DOE funding for design of C·Power’s H3 StingRAY.

C·Power will develop a standards-compliant, fabrication-ready design of its next-generation WEC. Using composite materials to reduce capital expenditures and a permanent magnet generator to maximize efficiency, the project will design a scaled-up version of the existing Water Power Technologies Office-funded device that is set for testing at Hawaii’s Wave Energy Test Site.
