Green Marine Scoops Outstanding Service Award

Orkney-based contractor Green Marine has won the ‘Outstanding Service Award’ at this year’s Scottish Green Energy Awards.

Nominees for the Outstanding Service Award also included Arup; Seaway 7 and Atkins; McFadyens Transport.

Jason Schofield, managing director of Green Marine, said: “To win this prestigious award came as a complete shock at the awards event, we were shortlisted amongst some of the best supply chain companies in the world. For Green Marine to win this award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, also recognising the excellent client and supplier base that we have built up over the years.”

Earlier this year, Green Marine picked up the award for ‘Best Marine Operator Supporting or Supplying Offshore Renewables’ at the Highlands and Islands Renewable Energy Awards.

To remind, in the category for ‘Outstanding Project Award’, European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) was nominated for its (Hydrogen Diesel Injection in a Marine Environment) HyDIME project.

Daniel Coles from SIMEC Atlantis Energy was nominated for ‘Young & Inspiring Award’. Recognised at this year’s Young Professionals Green Energy Awards, Coles won the Analyst Award for his work in optimising MeyGen.
