Ten registrations for the course are being made available for free, as part of the MaRINET2 Training and Education work package.

Participants will undertake practical tank exercises generating and measuring waves, and engage in numerical and experimental investigation of a wave energy converter performance.

This training is organized by the University of Aalborg, together with the Doctoral School of Environment Design and Innovation at University of Compania Luigi Vanvitelli, CNR-INM and CoNISMa. It will take place in Rome, at CNR-INM, during the week following EWTEC 2019 in Naples.

MaRINET2’s short course programme is aimed at industry and academic researchers in the offshore renewable energy sector. As well as free course access, travel & subsistence support is also available to MSc, PhD students and early-stage researchers, MaRINET2 noted.

The project consortium has already delivered five courses on a range of topics relating to offshore renewable energy. Future courses in the programme will cover operation & maintenance, tank testing and environmental data collection, amongst others.
