AMOG Seeks Installation Services For Power Cable Project

AMOG Consulting is seeking installation services for a power cable project (PCP) as part of its wave energy device test offshore Cornwall, UK.

The PCP is to be carried out at the FabTest site in Falmouth Bay.

AMOG has secured a grant through Marine-i program that will enable the company to test its one-third scale device in summer this year, following testing at the COAST laboratory at University of Plymouth and fabrication within the Cornwall Marine Enterprise zone.

Mainstay Marine Solutions, based in South West Wales, was contracted to build the WEC technology demonstrator device.

This project is open to all EU (including UK) suppliers and is subject to ERDF funding.

The PCP involves preparation, loadout, installation & removal of subsea infrastructure as well as installation & removal of 2 lengths of ~70mm dummy power cables from a floating platform host. This project is open to all EU (including UK) suppliers and is subject to the ERDF funding.

The value of the contract is said to be £25,000, expected to start on April 15, 2019 until September 30, 2019.

Tenderers will be supplied the technical bid package upon execution of a non-disclosure agreement.

AMOG has set the tender submission deadline for March 26, 2019.
