Partrac is seeking to employ field oceanographers with experience, together with a principal oceanographer who will support and mentor other team members in the company’s growing team.

The duties of principal oceanographer are to ensure quality oceanography is provided to the clients through an integrated approach from survey design, instrument selection, calibration strategies, survey methodologies and reporting.

Accordingly, field oceanographers will assist with oceanographic and marine survey planning, survey mobilization, deployments, equipment calibrations, servicing, fault finding/problem solving and improving data quality, Partrac said.

Both positions are open for applications until October 31, 2018, and require the interested professionals to possess the knowledge of oceanographic mooring deployments, knowledge of wave, current and tide monitoring equipment, in addition to other requirements.

To remind, Partrac has recently been contracted to perform resource measurement at Marine Energy Test Area (META) in the southwest of Wales that will provide key information for the development and operation of two wave sates located in the Milford Haven Waterway.
