Namely, the two companies started their collaborative activities in September 2018, under which they will share information on project execution, from licensing and grid connectivity to logistics and operations.

According to the companies, Enel Green Power will also receive information on AW-Energy’s first-of-a-kind WaveRoller device, set for launch in Peniche in Portugal, accompanied with visits to the operational site.

“We’re excited to start working on this contract with such an innovative and discerning customer, it’s a testament to the diligent work of team WaveRoller and an honor to participate in Enel’s vision,” said Christopher Ridgewell, AW-Energy’s CEO.

The collaboration is a continuation to AW-Energy’s previous steps in commercialization of the WaveRoller technology, which follows the EPC agreement with Wärtsilä signed in September 2017.
