At the event, organized by industry bodies Ocean Energy Sweden and Ocean Energy Europe, the expert panels made up of leading marine technology developers will shed more light on the work undertaken by their respective companies that precedes ocean energy deployment.

Also, the panel participants – coming from leading companies such as AW-Energy, CorPower Ocean, Wavepiston, Seabased, Wello, just to name a few – will explain how the EU and its member states are helping to move the sector forward.

The event will feature a panel debate where the support for testing and route to market for marine energy sector will be discussed, as well as the Europe’s leading position when it comes to marine energy technology developers.

“With strong support from the EU, Nordic technology developers are leading the way in ocean energy development. Testing and demonstration programs undertaken at Europe’s world leading infrastructures have generated learning, innovation and leveraged further investments.

“Further deployments in real sea conditions are now key to moving the sector forward, so we can generate operational data, improve knowledge of device behavior and improve logistics and processes. As deployment increases, both manufacturing and installation processes are standardized and industrialized, unfolding the paths to cost reductions,” it is stated in the event invitation.

Moderated by the Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Energy Europe – Rémi Gruet – the event will be held on September 13, 2018, at Nordic House in Brussels.
