Irish company DesignPro (DP) Renewables is looking to appoint Business Development Associate to identify suitable deployment sites for the company’s hydrokinetic devices.

The scope of work for the role includes research, evaluation, and selection of suitable deployment sites for both 25kW and 60kW machines.

DesignPro, the parent company of DP Renewables, was awarded €2.7 million in funding last year from the European Commission for a Horizon 2020 project to develop and deploy hydrokinetic turbines.

The first full-scale 25kW device is expected to be deployed at SEENEOH in France for testing this year in April.

The ideal candidate for the job should have a thorough understanding of the product and must be able to combine technical understanding of the device with commercial, market-based knowledge of the industry, according to DP Renewables.

“The job entails bridging the gap between marketing and engineering and so the candidate should have an engineering or science based background as well as strong business mind,” said DP Renewables.

The deadline to apply for the position has been set for January 28, 2018.
