Bombora goes on a recruiting spree

Bombora Wave Power is looking to expand its Welsh team with several new job openings.

Having recently established office based in Pembrokeshire in Wales, Bombora is now forming the team that would take their Welsh wave energy plans forward.

Following the announcement, the company said its Welsh team would be focused on a €20 million project to design, fabricate and test the first 1.5MW mWave prototype.

In this regard, the company is looking to fill three newly opened positions for the Head of Systems Engineering, Project Manager, and Numerical Modelling Engineer.

As the Head of Systems Engineering, the successful candidate will lead the engineering of the first mWave device. The main responsibility for the position will be to define mWave system requirements in consultation with key team members and to ensure that these are met.

The task of leading the delivery of the first mWave device will be entrusted to the Project Manager, whose other responsibilities include maintaining the project program to facilitate forecasting of work and resource requirements.

The third position open for applications is that of Numerical Modelling Engineer. The main scope of work includes conducting simulations using an existing numerical model of the mWave wave energy converter.

All three positions will be based at Pembroke Dock offices, while the deadline for the receipt of all applications has been set for January 19, 2018.

To remind, Bombora has recently secured a multimillion-dollar investment from a new strategic investor, Enzen, to support the construction of its first commercial-sized mWave wave energy device.
