Guinard Energies looks for tidal engineer

French tidal energy start-up Guinard Energies is recruiting for an electrical engineer who would work on the development of its tidal energy technology.

As an energy conversion engineer for Guinard Energies, the successful candidate will be tasked with various responsibilities concerning the development of the company’s tidal turbines.

The tasks include performing modeling services, implementation of power conversion modules across the range of Guinard Energies’ turbines, and development of technical offers for hybrid electric stations in remote areas.

Guinard Energies noted the job may also entail involvement in tidal turbines’ installation operations.

The company is developing a range of tidal turbines, including the 2kW P50 tidal turbine, the larger variant of 3.5kW called the P66, and the P400 with the rated capacity of up to 250kW.

To remind, Guinard Energies plans to install the P400 tidal turbine next year in Ria d’Etel in France, while the P66 will soon be installed in French Guiana where it will provide power for the research station of French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).
