EC-OG collects ISO accreditation

East Coast Oil and Gas Engineering (EC-OG) has achieved certification for the new International Standardisation for Organisation certification, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

The ISO framework allows businesses to show that they have consistency, efficiency and productivity within their organization.

The framework promotes commercial standards which minimize waste and errors, aligning company activities with a rigorous quality management system for long-term business success, EC-OG said.

Heather Sharkey, Commercial Director of EC-OG, said: “EC-OG first gained ISO certification in 2014 and have worked hard to achieve the new standards. We believe that we are one of the first companies to transition to the new standards, a full year ahead of schedule. Our dedication to achieving the most up-to-date standards represents our ethos to continually improve and the standard of the work that we carry out.”

EC-OG is developing the Subsea Power Hub, an energy conversion system which harnesses the energy within ocean currents to produce autonomous electrical power subsea.

The prototype Subsea Power Hub system was tested earlier this year at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC).

The company also provides engineering services in the oil & gas industry.
