OEEC: Winners of inaugural Offshore Energy Awards revealed in Amsterdam

Monday night, October 24 saw the official opening of the ninth Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) in Amsterdam with the Opening Gala Dinner and the Awards Show held at Beurs van Berlage center in Amsterdam. 

At the beginning of the event, the guests received a word of welcome by Coert van Zijll Langhout, Managing Director, Navingo BV and Pieter van Oord, Chairman IRO/ CEO, Van Oord followed up by the official opening by Jan Willem van Hoogstraten, CEO, EBN.

During the very first Offshore Energy Gala Dinner, three inaugural Offshore Energy Awards were presented to lucky winners before more than 300 guests.

The Offshore Energy Award winners are:

Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award: Ms. Alexia Aubault from Principle Power;

Offshore Energy Public Outreach Award: the Maritime Museum with the Offshore Experience;

Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award: INTECSEA and Innospection with FlexIQ.

The Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award was awarded to an engineer of 35 years or younger for outstanding achievements in the industry. The Offshore Energy Public Outreach Award recognized outstanding achievements in the field of public outreach by a company, organization or project team active in the offshore energy industry. And last but not least, the Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award highlighted the best innovation in the entire offshore energy market in the last two years.

Next year the Opening Gala Dinner and Awards Show will take place on Monday, October 9, 2017. New submissions will be taken in mid-May 2017 while more information will be available on the www.offshore-energy.biz website as of January 2017.

Tuesday, October 25 will see the kick-off of the conference part of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference in the exhibition and convention center Amsterdam RAI where companies from the oil & gas and renewable industries will meet for networking, knowledge sharing, and business.

OEEC is the only dedicated offshore energy event in the Netherlands focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to wind and marine energy.
