SEA CEO calls it quits

The Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Energy Association (SEA), Hector Grant, is to step down at the end of April.

The SEA board will begin the process of identifying an interim replacement over the next few weeks, SEA informed.

Formerly known as the Industrial and Power Association, SEA re-branded in 2015 in an effort to become the go-to membership organization for the energy industry in Scotland.

Colin McNaught, Chair of the SEA, said: “Hector has led the SEA through an important period of change, rebranding the association, initiating new services for our members and increasing membership. He has made a very significant contribution to the organisation, and to SEA members, and we wish him well in his relocation to the South of England.”

Hector Grant, who has been in post since January 2013, said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges during my time at SEA which remains a very important organisation in representing the views of its members from all parts of the energy supply chain and I wish the organisation and the members well for the future.”
