Seabased recruiting for various positions

Swedish wave energy developer Seabased is looking for new additions to its team with several job openings.

Seabased is recruiting for a certified industrial electrician, laser operator, and CNS operator, among other openings, to drive forward the development of its wave energy technology.

Some of the responsibilities for the position of electrician within Seabased include field work on wave energy power generators and switch-gear connections.

Seabased has, together with Fortum and the Swedish Energy Agency, developed a Sotenäs wave energy plant which comprises 36 Seabased’s wave energy converters with a total capacity of 10MW.

The Sotenäs wave energy demonstration farm, located 8 km northwest of Smögen in Sweden, started delivering power to the Nordic electricity grid in January 2016.

Also, Seabased is supplying its wave energy technology for a wave energy project in Ghana, being developed together with TC’s Energy.

The second commercial order for a further 5MW development of the project sited in Ghana’s Ada Estuary was placed in February last year.
