MRC to host marine renewables workshop

Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) will host a workshop on international market opportunities for Canadian companies in the marine renewables sector.

As the global marine renewables sector evolves, the workshop has been organized to explore international marine renewable energy market opportunities and strategies to access them for Canadian companies, MRC informed.

The workshop will provide an overview of MRC’s 2017-19 International Business Development Strategy, along with discussions on export readiness and other companies’ experiences in doing business internationally.

“Understanding foreign markets and cross-cultural issues is challenging and therefore it often necessitates the development of strong local partnerships in foreign markets. This session will also focus on information gathering (online, at trade shows, at trade missions and during first meetings in-market) to help participants understand what sort of details they need, to ensure they make the best decisions when entering new markets,” MRC said.

The workshop will be held on March 8, 2017 at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel in Halifax.

MRC is Canada’s national industry association for marine renewable energy working to align industry, academia and government to make Canada a leader in providing ocean energy solutions to a world market.
