Pays de la Loire to host Ocean Energy Europe 2017

The French region of Pays de la Loire will host the Ocean Energy Europe 2017 Conference & Exhibition (OEE2017) in Nantes in October.

The Pays de la Loire regional authority is committed to boosting innovation in ocean energy and has recently made significant investments in infrastructure and testing facilities, such as the SEMREV multi-technologies test site, the test tank at Centrale Nantes, the Industrial Center of Virtual Reality and Technocampus Ocean.

Bruno Retailleau, the President of the Regional Council of Pays de la Loire, said: “We are pleased to welcome the forthcoming edition of the Ocean Energy Europe annual event to Nantes, in Pays de la Loire. Bringing the event to Nantes acknowledges the huge efforts of regional stakeholders, over many years, to make ocean energy an industrial reality.”

Rémi Gruet, CEO of Ocean Energy Europe, added: “We are delighted to bring OEE2017 to Pays de la Loire, a region which is a hub of activity for our industry, thanks to its world-class infrastructure, innovative local companies and strong political support.”

OEE2017 will take place on October 25-26, 2017.
