Future of ocean energy to be discussed in Dublin

The Marine Renewables Industry Association (MRIA) will hold a forum on the progress and future of ocean energy early in February in Dublin, Ireland.

MRIA is hosting its 8th annual Ocean Energy Industry Forum titled ‘Ocean Energy: Progress..and the Future’ that will feature briefings on latest developments in ocean energy in Ireland, the UK and in the wider EU.

It will also showcase a series of technology developments with presentations by a number of experts, according to MRIA.

The forum will include an early afternoon session involving briefings by researchers and industry partners from MaREI, a center of excellence for marine and renewable energy in Ireland, on progress and achievements to date.

MRIA noted the admission to the event is free to those interested in or engaged with ocean energy, with plenty opportunities for networking.

The event will be held in the Alexander Hotel, off Merrion Square in Dublin, on February 3, 2017.
