MRC explores global marine renewables opportunities

Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) will host a webinar where Canadian marine renewable energy companies will get a chance to hear what Global Affairs Canada (GAC), and Export Development Canada (EDC), can do to help them expand to international markets.

As a growing global market, marine renewable energy poses new business opportunities around the world that are opening for Canadian suppliers, services, and researchers to engage in this international market.

For that reason, MRC has organized a webinar during which the interested companies will be presented with an overview of GAC and EDC existing services, and how they can help Canadian companies break into the global market.

The webinar will feature presentations from Allison MacKenzie, Trade Commissioner at GAC, and Carolyn Wood, Senior Account Manager – Commercial Markets, Nova Scotia, at EDC.

GAC manages Canada’s diplomatic and consular relations, promotes the country’s international trade and leads Canada’s international development and humanitarian assistance, while EDC provides Canadian exporters with trade financing, export credit insurance and bonding services, as well as foreign market expertise.

The webinar will be held on December 6, 2016, at 2 pm AST.

MRC is Canada’s wave, tidal, and river current energy association representing technology and project developers, utilities, researchers, and the marine energy supply chain.
