Minesto to attend EU-Taiwan Green Summit in Taipei

Minesto will be attending the EU-Taiwan Green Summit in Taipei to present its technology and explore market opportunities in Taiwan.

The 2016 EU-Taiwan Green Summit, organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan, will bring together European and Taiwanese government officials, industry experts and entrepreneurs who will discuss EU and Taiwan policies on circular economy and green trade.

Minesto will be represented by its CEO, Martin Edlund, who will participate in a panel discussion and present Minesto and its Deep Green tidal energy technology during the ‘Eco-innovation and green creative projects’ session.

The invitation to the Green Summit follows Minesto’s participation in the 32nd Taiwan-Sweden Joint Business Council Meeting (JBC) in late September, where a great interest in Minesto’s technology was shown, according to the Swedish tidal energy developer.

Martin Edlund said: “The Joint Business Council Meeting was very positive. In addition to strengthening our existing relationships in Taiwan, we had constructive meetings with new, potential partners in Taiwan. There is great interest in Minesto and our technology in Taiwan, both from industry and academia stakeholders. When we return for the Green Summit in November, we will seek concrete market entry opportunities for the Deep Green technology.”

The 2016 EU-Taiwan Green Summit Moving towards a Circular Economy and Sustainable Trade will be held on November 10.
