OEE arranges final Horizon 2020 webinar

Ocean Energy Europe (OEE) is organizing the final installment in its series of webinars dedicated to European Commission’s biggest research and innovation programme Horizon 2020.

The final webinar in OEE’s Horizon 2020 series will focus on the upcoming LCE-7-2017 call, entitled ‘Developing the next generation technologies of renewable electricity and heating/cooling’.

The call provides funding to address particular challenges in developing renewable energy technologies.

Specifically, for ocean energy, the emphasis is on increased performance, reliability and survivability of devices.

Matthijs Soede from the European Commission will provide an overview of the call and its requirements, and answer specific questions from participants.

“The deadline for this call is in January 2017, so take this opportunity to find out what applying entails well in advance of the cut-off date,” OEE stated in the event notice.

The webinar is open to Ocean Energy Europe’s members, and will be held on September 8, 2016.

OEE is a Brussels-based industry group representing the renewable ocean energy sector in Europe which acts as the main link between Europe’s ocean energy industry and the EU institutions, and EU Member States.
