UK unveils full BEIS team

UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has released a full list of ministerial appointments within the department.

Following the creation of the new Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the appointment of Greg Clark a new Secretary of State for Energy, BEIS confirmed today the full list of ministerial responsibilities within the department.

Namely, Nick Hurd has been appointed as Minister of State for Climate Change and Industry; Jesse Norman as Minister for Industry and Energy; and Baroness Neville-Rolfe as Minister of State for Energy and Intellectual Property.

Also, Margot James has been named as Minister for Small Business, Consumers, and Corporate Responsibility, and Jo Johnson as Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation.

“The new ministerial portfolios reflect the key priorities for the department to develop a comprehensive industrial strategy; continuing to ensure the UK remains at the cutting-edge of science, research and innovation; tackling climate change; and ensuring affordable, clean and secure energy supply for the UK,” BEIS said.

The work of the new department brings together responsibilities for industrial strategy, energy, business, consumers, employees, science, innovation, research, and climate change.
