OEE sets up Horizon 2020 funding webinar

Ocean Energy Europe (OEE), an industry group representing ocean renewable sector in Europe, is organizing a series of webinars on the European Commission’s research and innovation programme Horizon 2020.

The first in the series of webinars on Horizon 2020 will be focused on the upcoming funding call, designated as LCE-15-2016, which will target scaling up the ocean energy sector to arrays to achieve a reduction of the cost of energy while mastering the risks at project level.

The results of the call, planned to be launched on May 11, 2016, are expected to make ocean energy more commercially attractive for investors, and contribute to strengthening the European industrial technology base in the ocean energy field, thereby creating growth and jobs in Europe.

During the webinar, Matthijs Soede, from the European Commission, will outline the requirements of the call and give guidance to potential applicants.

“With the deadline for submissions to the call in September 2016, this webinar will be a timely opportunity to inform yourself about what’s needed and how best to go about preparing an application,” it is stated in OEE event notice.

The webinar will take place on April 21, 2016, and is open to Ocean Energy Europe’s members.
