Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewable Technologies (EIMR) is organizing a one-day workshop with the intent of furthering knowledge and standardizing approaches for monitoring and mitigation around marine renewable energy (MRE) devices and arrays.

The workshop is organized in cooperation with Annex IV, ICIT Heriot Watt, ORJIP, ICOE 2016, Marine Scotland and MERIKA, and will explore the following themes:

  • Biofouling – with University of the Highlands and Islands,
  • Collision Risk – with Annex IV, and Offshore Renewables Joint Industry Programme (ORJIP),
  • Coexistence – with Heriot-Watt University as theme leader.

The workshop will be held at Victoria Quay, Marine Scotland, Edinburgh, on February 22, 2016, one day ahead of ICOE 2016 conference during which the results of this workshop will first be made available on February 25, 2016.

EIMR is an international conference series held at different sites across the Scottish Highlands and Islands region. It serves as a forum for global researchers to come together to present their latest research, results and ideas, and strengthen relations between the emerging marine renewable industry, research laboratories, and universities.
