US DoE recruiting for MHK general engineer

US Department of Energy’s (DoE) Wind and Water Power Technologies Office is seeking applicants for the position of marine and hydrokinetic (MHK) general engineer.

As a general engineer, the successful applicant will serve as a lead engineer of a research and technology development portfolio

The responsibilities include managing multiple concurrent research and development projects, evaluating impact of the portfolio, and addressing complex system engineering problems and decisions for a diverse set of technologies and MHK energy resources, namely wave and tidal (ocean and river in-stream) resources.

Also, the general engineer will need to support the MHK Technology Program Manager in the development of short and long term strategy goals and objectives, and in the identification of specific requirements and schedules for the accomplishment of research, development and testing of MHK technologies in cooperation with US industry, and other federal agencies, amongst other responsibilities.

The deadline for application submission is set for January 15, 2016.
