Guyana seeks tidal energy proposals

The Ministry of Public Infrastructure of Guyana is calling for proposals from power producers to develop an electricity generation system from renewable sources which would power a town called Bartica, including: tidal, solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, and waste-to-energy. The ministry added the facility should produce minimum of 2,140 MW/h of energy annually, and be up to 1.5 MW in capacity.
