OI 2016 launches conference programme

Oceanology International 2016 (OI 2016), marine science and ocean technology exhibition, has published the programme for its ten free-to-attend streams, and is now open for registrations.

The conference, scheduled to take place from March 15-17, 2016, at London’s ExCeL, will feature ten free-to-attend streams, including that of marine renewables.

The Marine Renewables strand will focus on technology to safely install, survey, monitor and maintain offshore renewable installations and the reliability challenges associated with taking renewable energy systems in deeper and more challenging environments.

It will be chaired by Nick Murphy, Head of Operations at SeaRoc, and Tony Hodgson, Global Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy at Fugro.

Invited presentations for this strand include surveying session, innovations in foundations session, and new applications for technologies session.

Other topics for the conference include marine technology and services sector role in the blue economy, positioning and meteorology, and hydrography, geophysics and geotechnics.

Oceanology International is the global forum where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the marine technology and ocean science community, improving their strategies for measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world’s oceans.
