US Department of Energy (DoE) has selected six organizations that will receive $10.5 million to support the design and operation of innovative marine and hydrokinetic (MHK) systems through survivability and reliability-related improvements. Projects funded are expected to improve the survivability characteristics and reduce uncertainty regarding installation, operations, and maintenance of MHK systems.

MRC makes new Board appointments

Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) has appointed four new members to its Board of Directors. The new directors bring experience in the marine renewable energy industry and perspectives that will add to the national leadership of the association. The new members of the MRC Board of Directors are Tim Brownlow, Troy Garnett, Marius Lengkeek, and Sue Molloy.
