EMEC recruiting technical and project managers

The European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) is recruiting two new posts as part of a restructure to ensure that its marine energy test facilities can continue to respond to the wave and tidal industry’s changing landscape and market demands.

“These new roles are critical to the development of EMEC over the coming years,” said Neil Kermode, Managing Director. “The posts will build on EMEC’s technical knowledge and experience, bringing it to the fore of this burgeoning sector to encourage innovation and knowledge sharing.”

The company said it is looking for a Technical Manager to drive innovation, strategy development and project delivery at EMEC, whilst becoming a respected technical authority on the successes and challenges of the marine renewables industry.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, a Project Manager post is also being advertised. The purpose of this role is to manage the progress and delivery of EMEC’s projects to a high standard, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, and within budget.

Closing date for applications are: Monday noon, 21 September, for Project Manager and Thursday noon, 24 September, for Technical Manager position.
