Scottish Energy Association officially launched

Formerly known as the Industrial and Power Association, the organisation has re-branded to the Scottish Energy Association in an effort to become the go-to membership organisation for the energy industry in Scotland.

Scottish Energy Association (SEA) will focus on making sure that consumers are fully informed as to what the industry is doing, breaking down energy matters and policies so that they are fully understood and communicated properly to both members and consumers, SEA’s press release reads.

Hector Grant, Chief-Executive at the Scottish Energy Association, said: “Our aim is to be the voice of the energy industry and represent our members, focus on collaboration between companies, liaise with academia on skills for the industry, inform stakeholders and act as a gateway to improving industry, media and consumer dialogue within and beyond Scotland.”

Grant added the organization will focus on introducing new services to supplement its current activities, and on welcoming new members into SEA.
