The Portuguese Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy, Jorge Moreira da Silva, and the Secretary of State for Energy, Artur Trinidade, visited both the WaveRoller wave energy device in Peniche, and the installation site in Almagreira, Portugal.

The sight-seeing tour included the land station and the grid-connection point where wave energy connects to the national grid. Later on, the visitors had a walk-around on board the WaveRoller at ENP docks in Peniche.

The vessel hosting three 100 kW WaveRoller pilot units has been modified to carry the 350 kW commercial unit.
