Webcast set up for POWER-GEN joint plenary panel discussion

POWER-GEN Europe is hosting the discussion on the future developments of European energy market and different types of power generation that is also available for viewing via a live webcast.

Panelists will be invited to speculate on how policy conflicts between Brussels and EU member states are likely to be resolved, which technologies are most likely to prevail and how market players can best position themselves to lead and succeed in Europe’s energy future, according to POWER-GEN.

The debate will also look at the changing roles of centralized power and the growth of localized generation and the opportunities that are expected to arise from those changes.

The discussion panel will feature:

  • Stephan Singer, Director Global Energy Policy – Global Climate and Energy Initiative WWF International in Belgium,
  • Koen Noyens, Advisor, Environment & Sustainable Development Policy at Unit Eurelectric in Belgium,
  • Mark Garnett, Vice President European Region at Doosan Power Systems in the UK,
  • Damian Wagner, Coordinator Smart Cities at Fraunhofer IAO in Germany,
  • Martin Giesen, Chief Executive Officer at Advanced Power in the UK.
