BOM sets up tender for wave power research

Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is organizing a tender to improve wave power research.

The Australian Government wants to improve data gathering on wave behavior by organizing a tender for electronic upgrades for two wave data buoys, according to Financial Review, news publisher that focuses on business, finance and investment news.

The upgrades at the data buoys can potentially lead to the installation of more buoys, given the recent wave power developments in Australia, including the first grid-connected multiple operating wave units project delivered by Carnegie Wave with its CETO 5 technology.
